Tourism Ireland – what’s new??
As we all know, March is Ireland’s famous month – St.Patricks Day is celebrated on March 17th. Everybody loves to celebrate and we’re all a little bit Irish for the day.
In honor of “our” month, Tourism Ireland visits the US in March each year to promote tourism, bringing some of the top Irish accommodations, attractions, and tour suppliers over to present their latest and greatest.
Ireland enjoyed a record year in 2016 and now welcomes 10% of all American visitors to Europe – despite intense competition from other destinations.

It is the only working whiskey distillery in Ireland.

For those of you who want to go back to your roots and research your ancestry and genealogy, this museum offers a state-of-the-art interactive experience located in the beautiful vaults of the 1820 Custom House Quarter building in Dublin’s Docklands, the original departure point for so many of Irelands emigrants. It will inspire and guide you on a journey to discover the stories of Irish emigration around the world, from early times to modern day. Some 1- million people have left Ireland. You can step through 20 themed galleries to find out why, see how they influenced the world they found, and experience the connection between their descendants and Ireland today. As part of the museum experience, you can trace your family history at the Irish Family History Center.
